Doesn’t the time fly?
My beautiful little girl, you have matured so much in the last year. You are an excellent big sister to Ruadhan and he loves doing things with you. Liam loves you, too, just not so much when you are driving him crazy! I love seeing the two of you reading together and sharing ideas. You have learned so much in the last year – how to read (even chapter books, eh?), how to do all kinds of math, and all about animals. You currently want to be an animal rescuer and would watch hours and hours of Wild Kratts if I let you. You think it is the perfect educational tool, and I agree that it is fun! It’s been a year that has had it’s challenges - a big move away from your friends and activities and the loss of a dear doggie friend, but I think that you have matured because of it. Everyone comments on how much calmer you have become this past year, but that does not mean that you have lost your smile – it just means you no longer hang off people’s necks and are able to wait your turn. You still light up the room when you walk in and your eyes are always full of sparkles! I hope that you have a wonderful 9th year!
When you first started to read, I had to sneak in on you to take pictures because you didn’t want anyone to know that you could read. You’ve come a long way. Now you run down the stairs to show me the newest book you’ve finished!
